The first mentioned is an update of the nomenclature - list of products circulating in Mercosur and distinguished by eight digits -, referring to the sugar and automotive sector.

More expensive insecticides

The other decree, No. 6655, removes from the list of tariff exemptions several products that were previously imported but are now produced by domestic industries.

In order to benefit local production, insecticides will have an adjustment in the tariff. This will rise from 6% to 9% for one item and from 11% to 15% for another 9 products. For fungicides, for example, the tax will increase from 11% to 15% for a given product and from 9% to 13% for another.

And for herbicides the adjustment will go from 6% to 9% for seven products. This was raised at the request of the Chamber of National Industries of Agricultural Defenses (Cinda).

The imported motorcycles will also have a readjustment of 25%, thanks to the management of the Paraguayan Chamber of Industrial Motorcycles and Automobiles (Cipama), since in the country there are numerous industries that assemble these two-wheeled vehicles.

The thermocells of the exterior that previously paid 8%, now must pay 20% of tariffs, to motivate the firm James Paraguay of Industrias Manchini, that is in charge of the production of said artifacts.
